My name is Castiel. I am an Angel of the Lord, or I was. I have walked many paths since my first encounter with the Winchesters. I have been god, I have been human, leviathan... I have walked through the forest of maddness, and taken a turn in purgatory.

I am accountable for pulling Dean Winchester from hell, though many of my brethren worked to lay siege upon the underworld to accomplish this feat.

I rebelled from heaven to follow the Winchesters, to allow them and all humanity free will-- as God intended. But I found God's intentions are more than cryptic.

I have made many regrettable decisions. I have killed my brothers, done unspeakable horrors to Sam Winchester, allied with demons and taken souls for personal gain. I realized then that my choices were not in the best interests of mankind.

I accept whatever punishments, or karma as you may call it, that may befall me... but I work to aid the Winchesters. To heal humanity and make up for the wrongs I have done.
